I was at university in Britain in the late 1980s, and one day I was sitting in a Psychology lecture. There were probably about 200 students in a large lecture theatre.
The professor - for it was he - asked us: “Imagine an organisation that advocates for having sex with children is coming to give a speech on campus. Put your hand up if you would oppose them coming and speaking”. Most people in the room put their hand up.
“Now, imagine an organisation that advocates for racial discrimination is coming to give a speech on campus. Put your hand up if you would oppose them coming and speaking”. Again, a lot of people put their hands up, but not as many.
Then he sprung the trap: “If you put your hand up for the first one, but not the second one, then you think that racism is more acceptable than having sex with children. Congratulations, you’re a closet racist”.
I felt rather smug because I hadn’t put my hand up at all. I don’t think that banning speech is the solution. We want to know who these people are. Let’s hear their arguments. Banning other people from speaking doesn’t achieve anything apart from maybe letting you feel good momentarily. It doesn’t make the problem go away. Quite the reverse.
His lecture material encapsulated the middle-class Cultural Marxist zeitgeist which dominated British universities at that time.
Have you been following the news stories about ‘Grooming Gang’ culture in Britain, and the lack of official response?
Have you ever wondered how on earth could this be allowed to happen?
This is why.
Racism is everything. Everything else has to be subordinated to the one desire, the screaming imperative, the profound need, above all, not to be seen as racist. Oh, the horror, the horror. Whatever you do, please don’t call me a racist. Do anything, take my country, rape my children, but please, please, please, don’t call me a racist.
The cancer has only been spreading since then.
Yes, actually, you’re damn right, professor - I do think that racism is more acceptable than raping children. Because I think that pretty much anything is more acceptable than raping children. What kind of a sick and twisted agenda is trying to normalise child rape?
Or is it that he, and others like him, are too naïve to realise what effect down-grading child rape will have? Once you tell people that saying hurty words is worse than raping children, you are enabling child rapists, whether you realise it or not.
The Left’s greatest achievement in the 20th Century was not the 1917 Russian Revolution, it was the capture of Western universities in the 1960s and 1970s. Once you control the universities, you can indoctrinate the next generation of professionals in every field, from policing to the civil service, medicine, law, the judiciary, social work, the media, education and covert intelligence. You can capture the entire society.
Have you asked yourself why it is that so many professionals sat on their hands and said nothing when they knew that industrial scale child exploitation was going on?
This is why.
We have been betrayed by our supposed intelligentsia.
It seems that, at long last, the veil is now being lifted. This will be painful for many.
Just as at the end of World War Two, German civilians were forced by Allied troops to take a tour of their local extermination camp to see the reality for themselves, British middle-class Leftists are, at some point, going to have to have their noses rubbed in the grotesque reality that they have created.
Everyone involved needs to be brought to justice, and academics must be among them.
